XUAN-THU NGUYEN

Xuan-Thu Nguyen is a Dutch-Vietnamese fashion designer and founder of two creative brands: XUAN and Paris RE Made.

Born in Vietnam and raised in the Netherlands, where her parents ran a textile company, she grew up immersed in the tradition of craftsmanship. This upbringing led her to graduate in 1999 from the prestigious Charles Montaigne Fashion Institute in Amsterdam.

In 2004, Nguyen settled in Paris where she established her eponymous label. She has been an invited member of the Fédération Française de la Couture et de la Mode since 2016, presenting her couture collections during Paris Fashion Week.

Nguyen is best known for the evocative stories that her clothes tell — their aesthetic and construction work together to convey the intimacy, surprise and fragility that underlie her personal experiences.

In 2020, she launched Paris RE Made, an upcycling fashion concept that transforms vintage garments and luxury deadstock fabrics into new one-of-a-kind pieces, produced entirely in her Paris studio.

"Our goal is to create a community with a new way of looking at fashion and to re-value what they buy and wear."

Her work challenges the constant pressure of production in the fashion industry while advocating for passion-driven, considered design.
