The XUAN atelier is located at 19 rue Blondel in Paris's 2nd arrondissement. Every collection is conceived, cut, and finished here — and at the family workshop in the Netherlands, where Xuan-Thu Nguyen's relationship with textiles began.
XUAN works exclusively in natural fabrics: cotton, silk, wool. The embellishments — cloth flowers, crocheted petals, silk ruffles, broderie anglaise — are made entirely by hand. No laser cutting, no digital printing. The technology is the hand.
Each couture piece takes weeks. Collections are small by design. The atelier operates on its own time, not the fashion calendar's.
Production is shared between Paris and Holland — the two places that shaped the designer, and the two places that make the clothes.
"In this world, everyone is always talking about 3-D-this, laser-that. This is a wink to my technology: everything is done by hand instead of machine." — Xuan-Thu Nguyen, AW2018
"Growing up in a tailoring family, I treasured handwork precision." — Xuan-Thu Nguyen
Structure. Weight. The foundation of every architectural silhouette.
Movement. Light. The material that carries fragility into form.
Warmth. Depth. The tactile language of the colder collections.
